Information
The aims of the program are to provide the fundamental scientific knowledge and methods of natural science-oriented psychology in its entire breadth. The special orientations and focuses of the content are the empirical orientation with a stronger orientation towards biology and psychophysiology than at other educational institutions. The Psychology bachelor program provides fundamental practical skills and theoretical knowledge for the professional practice of psychology and acts as the basis for a scientific concentration and specialization as part of the advanced master program. However, graduates of the Psychology bachelor program are not able to work responsibly as psychologists in terms of the Psychologist Act (“Psychologengesetz”; Federal Law Gazette No. 360/1990). In order to acquire the professional title of psychologist, completion of a 300 ECTS credit program is required.
