Information
The subject matter of Art History is all the cultural expressions of a visual kind in the past and present. Besides the classical periods of Western art, this also includes early Christian and Byzantine art as well as art of non-European cultures and new media (photography, film and electronic media). Apart from art theory and methodology, the subject matter of the program also consists of technology and the study of materials, the preservation of historical monuments, museology and exhibiting.
