Information
In this project you will validate methods that have been designed for structural variation on the nucleoside backbone of such cofactors. Interesting features of this synthesis are a late-stage Mitsunobu reaction and a general initiation to complex protection-deprotection strategies in the synthesis of natural product analogues. Moreover, this project will introduce both small-scale reaction optimizations as well as the peculiarities of scale-up. Techniques learned: organic synthesis and characterisation (NMR, MS, IR, UV, etc..). HPLC separations.
