Information
Since June 2013, the Leuven Centre for Global Governance Studies has been coordinating a large-scale, interdisciplinary FP7 project on ‘Fostering Human Rights Among European (External and Internal) Policies’ (FRAME), in collaboration with a Consortium of 19 academic partners from around the world (see www.fp7-frame.eu). Drawing on its aim to cast European Human Rights Policies from a comprehensive, multi-actor and global perspective, this EMINTE/FRAME cooperation is aimed at (i) analyzing the ongoing negotiations for an EU-India Free trade Agreement; (ii) assessing the human rights situation and related debates in India; (iii) scrutinizing the EU’s bilateral relations and partnership with India, thereby specifically focusing on the trade- and development dimension; and (iv) mapping the human rights dimension of the EU’s migration policies and its implications for the protection and promotion of human rights in India.
