Information
The course prepares graduates for a career in basic, clinical or translational research in molecular medicine, with specific reference to molecular oncology, metabolic diseases, molecular genetics, biochemistry, cell biology, regenerative medicine, and pharmacology. Through research activity in the laboratory, students develop a critical approach to scientific observation and carry out a specific project. Teaching activity consists essentially in seminars by national and international experts. The program also aims to provide expertise in science management, more specifically in “grant-writing”, and to develop technologically oriented research projects. The PhD program is part of a newly created Italian Network of PhD programs in biomedical and biotechnological sciences (NEIDOS) which involves the Association of Cell Biology and Differentiation and the Italian Society of Biophysics and Molecular Biology.
