Information
New conditions of the network society and relational geography have rapidly influenced urban and regional development. The Master’s programme in Urban and Regional Planning offers you a broad training in urban and regional planning, with a focus on strategic planning and mobility in transformative spaces as well as urban development and real estate. During the programme, you will focus on innovative forms of planning aimed at solving problems of collective action in metropolitan areas. The Urban and Regional Planning programme offers you a thorough understanding of advanced theories and methodologies of urban and regional planning, with a focus on urban and metropolitan areas. Core elements are drafting spatial plans, policies and projects (spatial interventions), understanding actor constellations, knowing the institutional conditions of spatial interventions and the international comparison of spatial planning traditions and metropolitan governance.
